Are Premier Protein Shakes Keto?

Yes, Premier Protein shakes are keto since they only have 0 – 2 grams of net carbs per shake. But, a lot of people on keto avoid artificial sweeteners since they might be bad for your health. Other people avoid artificial sweeteners because they stop you from breaking your past addiction to eating sweet foods.

I personally avoid artificially sweetened foods on keto since they cause me to crave sweet foods more.

But, in my first two months on keto, I ate artificially sweetened foods so I could satisfy my cravings whilst I was still adjusting to eating keto.

However, after my 2nd month on keto, I quit eating artificially sweetened foods because they caused me to crave more sweet foods & made me more lazy.

This is because sweet foods increase your dopamine, your brain’s reward chemical.

But, your brain only rewards yourself for eating sweet foods since it helps you to survive.

However, since we can just drink an artificially sweetened protein shake & get dopamine without going through any discomfort, this would make you more tired & lazy.

So, if you’ve been doing keto for more than a month or two & have adjusted to eating foods without sugar, I recommend to cut out artificial sweeteners, including protein shakes, from your diet so you don’t become lazy.
